Friday 6/19--- A Hike to the Water, A snake, and Pool Day
Editor Notes:
No additional photos will be added to Facebook FVUMC Group this evening
In addition tomorrow afternoon or evening we will have our final blog for the June team.
Good Evening, Framily,
Blogger Note: Hello everyone this is going to be a collaborative blog since Lincoln and I, Will, were together most of the day.
We started our day with Jake, a Cross Connection Alumni Staff member hat came for the week, peacefully waking us up at 7:00.
Editor Note: He did this each day. Will hated it while Lincoln liked it.
Next, we ate breakfast at 7:30 which was leftovers from the week so we did not waste food (It was very good).
After that we had morning watch (From Matthew 4:18-22).
Around 9am we set off to our hike with the community arriving after a 45 minute bus ride.
Blogger Note: We made a pit stop to get gas and snacks which was very necessary.
When we finally arrived at the trail we met some of our friends we met from the community, Josh and Jerry. Both of them were in a great mood to go on the hike.

When we got to the waterfall they were the first ones to explore.
Towards the end of the swimming we saw a huge snake and found a snakeskin right next to it.
The waterfall water was very, very cold and everyone was turning red by the time we were done.
Editor Note: We took a 45 minute drive to the Asheville Art District Community Center
I, Lincoln, and Will talked to other people and made friends. Also, we strengthened friendships as a group by swimming together and playing games and swimming in the pool together (categories and penguin). Just in total had a really good time (and got a really rocking sunburn)
Editor Note: Most of our adults enjoyed 10 minutes ALONE in the pool.

Editor Note: After adult swim time ended the kids jumped on the whistle
We played some basketball by ourselves then a group of guys our age came up to us and asked to run 2's (play 2 against 2 in youth speak). We connected and talked about our GOAT's of basketball and what the list was for us. But most of all we played, had fun, made new friends, and WON(of course)!!
Editor Note: We showered, ate dinner (baked potato bar), completed small groups, and then transitioned to worship.
Seeing everyone come together to sing and worship tonight was beautiful.
Also, seeing people that may not have talked as much during the journey come out of there shell and talk and sing with people.
Editor Note: Cross Connection gave us back letters we wrote to ourselves on Sunday and a fishing pin to challenge us to be a fisher of people in our community
I, Lincoln, am so blessed to be with my mom and my best friend, Will during this trip and just see them grow and be in tune with God as well as my CMG group members (FROG's).
Overall, this trip for us was one of the best trips that we will forever from this place to this mission to all the accomplishments.
- Lincoln and Will
